Is mouth taping at night a legitimate anti-snoring method or is it just a popular internet trend without scientific backing?

Personally I would not try this. I have never heard of this method of curing snoring.
Some people breath through their moths when they are asleep so it would be dangerous for them to.
I think it could be dangerous. For example if you have sleep apnea it may stop you breathing if you try this.
